History

The K-Review application was designed to meet the needs of collecting and evaluating projects within the framework of partnerships (Cofunds) established by the International Relations department of the University of Geneva. The current version is the culmination of feedback from users since the platform was launched in 2014.

K-Review is now available for other institutions as a hosted service maintained by Gilles Vauvarin, the application's designer and developer.

Use Cases

K-Review is a web application that allows for online project collection and evaluation to facilitate management, collaboration, decision-making, and the publication of collected information.

Originally, the application was designed to manage partnerships between one or more institutions, to launch project call campaigns, and to enable co-evaluation of proposals submitted by candidates by evaluators from different institutions.

However, other use cases can be envisioned, here are a few examples:

  • Conferences: call for contributions to select speakers.

  • Recruitment: call for applications to select employees.

  • Scholarships: call for proposals to select student projects.
